of Texas
North Central Plains:
~In this region, you will find out that the region is pretty much just simply flat and dry. It starts around the Balcones Escarpment, and ends all the way at the Caprock Escarpment! It has small areas of rolling plains covered by small oak trees, mesquite, brush, and grass. The land is mainly treeless. It is also where some very populated cities are! Cities like Dallas and Fort Worth!
Major Cities
This picture is of Dallas, Texas. It's one of the major cities in Texas. Its has a population of about 1,233,000 people! And its also the third largest city in the United states!
Dinosaur Valley State Park
Dinosaur Valley State Park is located on the river bed of the Paluxy River, which is just northwest of Glen Rose in Somervell County. This became a protected area because of the huge amount of dinosaur tracks.
Lake Arrowhead State Park
Lake Arrowhead State Park is located a little bit southeast of Wichita Falls in Clay County. It was taken away by the city of Wichita Falls due to a long drwan out legal battle.
Geographic Features
This area of land shows that the geographic features of the North Central Plains are rolling hills, thick grass, trees, valleys, etc.
