The B.Y.E. Buzz
October 18, 2021
Principal Corner
- No school on Friday, October 15 or Monday, October 18. Please enjoy the long weekend.
- Springdale Schools partner with the Springdale Police Department to help provide candy for their annual Halloween Fest. We will be accepting packaged Halloween candy to donate to the event. If you want to donate, send candy with your child.
- The district is piloting a new "test to stay" program. If a child is considered a close contact, parents can complete a form that allows the child to stay in school if they follow a few rules. The student must wear a mask for 7 days and will be given a Covid test each day by the school nurse. The test is a shallow nasal swab like a home test. Additionally, the student will not be allowed to do extracurricular activities. This is optional for each child instead of a child being quarantined.
- Thanks for the gifts for the teachers!! We will put them to use in our teacher drawings.
Report cards will be coming home soon!
4- Met end of year grade-level standards and may be ready to work at greater depth

Please remember that all standards have not been taught at this time, so there may not be an opportunity to have met the end-of-year standard yet or to be assessed on every standard.
Notes from the Nurse
The State of Arkansas also requires all students entering Kindergarten to show proof of a physical examination. This document is required at the start of the school year. Please have all physicals submitted to Nurse Amy by Friday, November 19, 2021.
You may fax or email shot records and physicals to the Nurse at
aschultz@sdale.org, fax them (479) 306-2002 or send a copy to school with your child.
If you need assistance with getting a physical or vaccine for your child, please contact Nurse Amy at 750-8770. I would be happy to help.

All photos need to be sent in by Monday, November 8th. If you remember having a slide in last year's presentation and want to use the same one, email me the name and I will look for it.
