Winter Landscapes
5th Grade
Step 1: Draw at least 3 natural objects (trees or animals) with pencil. You could add snowmen or people after you have 3 natural objects.
Step 2: Color or design your trees with crayon. Your tree can be a holiday tree or a winter tree. For snow, use a white crayon (trust me, it will show AND it will be awesome!)
Step 3: Water color the tree - paint over the crayon (Hint: these will be cut out later, don't worry about messy edges or a background)
Step 4: Paint an entire large page to look like sky
Step 5: Sprinkle the sky with salt to give it a snowy texture
Step 6: Cut out your trees... Save our scraps of white paper to make a snow drift
Step 7: Rip the paper to make snow drifts
Step 8: GENTLY rub the salt off of your sky paper
Step 9: Glue everything together
