FROM THE DESK OF MRS. FIELDS
It is Parent/Teacher Conference time! We are really looking forward to this opportunity to discuss your child’s progress with you! This time with your teacher(s) is very important to us and we strive for 100% participation. That being said, we realize that life happens and it may be necessary to reschedule your appointment. If you find yourself in this situation, please contact your teacher as soon as possible to reschedule.
Thank you to all the Hershey pardners who ate at Texas Roadhouse Wednesday evening- the corral was full! Grub was good and the fellowship was fantastic! Congratulations to Mrs. Whitlock’s class-41% of her students were able to attend and Texas Roadhouse is providing each of them with a free kid’s meal! A special shout out goes to Mrs. Sharp for coordinating yet another successful dine out night. Thank you to the many parents who volunteered to work the hospitality desk. And just in....(drum roll please) we earned $500+!! Way to go!!

MRS. LEHMAN'S UPDATES AND INFORMATION
We are aware that internet usage by our children in booming! I have a limited knowledge of this topic and how I can help my children stay safe and use proper etiquette when using the internet or social media. We are very fortunate to have the assistance of Ms. Ashley Greeley.
Ms. Greeley taught 14 years at Harrison High School and is in a new role this year. TSC was awarded a National Security Agency grant through Purdue University’s INSuRE project. Ms. Greeley is working with Dr. John Springer and Dr. Melissa Dark to accomplish two goals:
- Develop an integrated K-12 cybersecurity curriculum that instills basic cyber knowledge across the spectrum.
- Provide online safety and etiquette outreach throughout the corporation.
Throughout the year, I will be posting some “tips” Ms. Greeley would like to share with our families on the topic of cybersecurity. Stay tuned for more to come!
VETERANS PROGRAM
Students brought home an invitation to pass along to a Veterans they know. We are proud of the attendance of Veterans at our past programs and expect the same this year.
A copy of the invitation is attached to this newletter.
We respectfully request that non-Veteran parents do not attend to allow adequate space for our Veteran guests.
Students are encouraged to personally mail, call or deliver the invitation.
RSVP by Nov. 8 to our office, 765-269-8280.
PICTURE RETAKE-MAKEUP DAY
If you wish to have re-takes, return the entire packet to our office with a note attached stating reason for request. Send this anytime so we can add the child to our list.
If you have any problems with the order you received, please contact LifeTouch at
317-829-2075
INtegrate Wellness
The past two wellness articles discussed shopping and food preparation for those who are motivated to continue a healthy lifestyle now that school is back into full swing. This week, we are going to tackle exercise! With a day filled with work, household chores, homework supervision and running kids from one activity to the next, it can be a challenge to carve out time for yourself. Stay strong! Don’t fall into the temptation of letting this slide. Instead try:
Pair exercising with a part of your existing daily routine. For example, when you get home from work and see your gym shoes by the door, that triggers in you the fact that you need to take a walk.
Exercise on the same day each week.
Add up the minutes, Even just fifteen minutes here and ten minutes there add up.
Recognize that exercise isn’t just about weight loss or management. It is a stress reliever.
