November 18, 2021, Benignus Elementary will be having our 16th annual Field Day. The whole school will be participating in a number of physical education activities and games inside. The field day schedule and activity times are listed below for your information.

Important Tips

1. Please wear tennis shoes and athletic gear.
2. Students may wear hats.
3. Please bring a water bottle. There will not be a cooler to store your student’s water, so they will have to keep track of it as they rotate stations.
4. Please label your student’s water bottle.

8:30-9:15 Grade level relay games

9:20-11:00 Students complete 16 stations

10:50-1:05 Lunch (lunch times below)

(3rd-5th)

12:30--1:15 Grade level relay games

1:20-3:00 Students complete 16 stations

Lunch times in the classrooms are as follows:

EC/Pre-K: 11:00

K: 11:05

1st/Dodson: 11:30

2nd: 12:00

3rd: 10:50

4th: 11:15

5th: 11:40

Cafeteria is serving a Thanksgiving Feast on the 18th if you would like to participate.

T-Shirt Information:

If you missed the deadline for the T-shirt orders, please have your child wear a color shirt of their grade level.

The AM group (K-2 + Anderson, Williams, Wheeler, Dodson, and Stickle) will have a maroon shirt. The PM group (3-5) will have a gold shirt.

Thanksgiving Holiday is the week of November 22-26. Classes resume November 29th.

We consider it a privilege to partner with your school to serve you and strive to provide the highest quality service and products. Unfortunately, your experience with Lifetouch has not been up to our normal standards, and there has been a severe delay in the delivery of your child’s Fall Individuals school portrait packages. We sincerely apologize as this is not the level of service our customers should expect nor deserve from Lifetouch.

We are working to correct some data issues with the picture packages and hope to have the packages to you within the next week or so. Please note that we have rescheduled Retake Picture Day for Monday, December 6, 2021.

PTO was very proud to honor the Veterans on Tuesday morning! A meaningful program started with a presentation of flags by Cubscouts Pack 920. The hard work of Mrs. Bross and the 5th graders paid off in their musical and the event ended with a clap out parade throughout the whole school. A special thank you to Toasted Yolk, Chick-fil-A and Starbucks for sponsoring the breakfast and to the bugler, Len Valka.
