Career Center Graduate Assistants
2019-2020
Kanler Cumbass
"Hey there! My name is Kanler Cumbass. I am a first-year graduate assistant at the UGA Career Center. While at UGA, I will be pursuing an M.Ed. at the Institute of Higher Education. I received my undergraduate degree from Piedmont College in History and Political Science. While at Piedmont, I had some pretty amazing opportunities, one of which includes presenting at the SACS-COC Annual Meeting in New Orleans and serving as SGA President for two years. Whenever I am not in class or at work, you might find me hiking, playing tennis, going for a jog, or being lazy and taking a nap. It all just depends on the day! I look forward to this year with you all! GO DAWGS!"
Question: "The house is on fire, but everyone is safely out, the pets are safely out, wallets/cash are saved. If you could make one last dash to get something, what would it be?"
Answer: I would run back for my memory board! Throughout my undergraduate studies, I have collected memories on a giant tac board. I have printed off pictures with my friends, saved concert tickets, saved a paper hat from Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans, kept interview name tags, residence hall door decorations, and the list goes on. Essentially, I have every memory attached to this board since I moved away from college. It means a lot to me, because I see how much I have changed from where I started.
Please let me know if you need anything else from me! Happy to share some of my story!
Jennifer Harris
Supervisor: Camille Liverpool
Greetings! My name is Jennifer Harris and I am a first year graduate student in the professional school counseling program here at UGA! I am originally from a not-so-small city called Macon, Georgia. I graduated in May 2017 from Georgia State University where I majored in Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Political Science. Right after my college graduation, I served as a college adviser with Georgia College Advising Corps. I love Harry Potter, going to the movies, and waterfalls. I am really excited to turn the page into this next chapter!
Question: What’s your favorite Vacation you’ve been on?
Answer: I was lucky enough to study abroad for a month in Italy during undergrad. My favorite city from the experience was Florence! I was able to climb to the top of the Duomo and overlook the entire city. It was truly magical.

Supervisors: Kali Dewald and Grace Williamson
Hi. My name is Dominic Beaufeaux. I am a second year in the Mental Health Community Counseling Masters program. I graduated from Arizona State University with my Bachelors in Psychology in 2016. My wife Kelsey and I have been married for 4 and half years. We both grew up in Arizona, and have now lived in Athens for 1 year. We have a great dog named Penny.
Question: What Old Person things do you do?
Answer: My wife and I are both old souls. We love to just spend time at home together watching TV or reading. We don’t like to go out and party or anything. I also gripe and complain about downtown Athens as if I’m 100 years old. I hate the traffic, the parking always sucks, and there are too many people crowding around. I never go to downtown

Question: IF YOU WERE GIVEN ONE THOUSAND ACRES OF LAND, WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH IT?
Answer: I would sell my idea to Disney about making a fifth park at Disney World dedicated to the Marvel Universe. Stark tower in the center of the park with rides for Iron Man, Pepper, War Machine, and a burger stand because burgers are Tony’s favorite food. A section dedicated to Wakanda with a lab for Shuri, a training video with Okoye, rides for T’Challa, Nakia and Killmonger. An agents of shield section with rides for Black widow, Nick Fury, and Hawkeye. An Asgard section with rides for Thor, Lokeye, Valkerie, and Hulk. A Intergalactic section where they have the guardians of the galaxy and each character has either a ride, video, or meet and greet. And finally a section about American Heroes that they dedicate to the US military and they have Captain Marvel, Captain America, Bucky, and Sam rides. It’s on my property and it’s my idea so I would consistently profit from it and I would be able to have
