What Does CCA Mean to You?
CCA Chapel
Mr. Patterson brought the "love" message to all in attendance. He began by saying, "I love my mom & dad, I love my wife, I love peanut butter cookies!" We love things. In 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, we read "love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. Pastor Don then told us about John 3:16 and how God sent His Only Son to die for us. Love is doing, not feeling. In Matthew 22, Jesus was asked, "Teacher, what's the greatest commandment of the law?" Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. What's just as important is, you should love your neighbor as yourself.
The CCA character trait of the month is love. Students will be encouraged to practice our first Fruit of the Spirit "love" in the month of September.

FBLA Meeting
Last Monday, the high school had its first FBLA meeting. We discussed events like districts and state competitions. We elected officers for the 2023-24 year. Kade is our president, Marlee is the vice president, Taylor is the secretary, Kennedy is the chaplain, and Priscilla is the media coordinator. The team discussed a potential trip to the FBLA/FCCLA day at Silver Dollar City later in the year. Since dues went up from last year, we planned to have multiple fundraisers. Every year, the FBLA team has a candy gram fundraiser for Valentine’s Day. These fundraisers help lower the cost of district and state for the competitors. A big thank you to our FBLA advisors, Mrs. Dull and Mrs. Lanning. -Kennedy Vaughn
