Caredoc

Caredoc is an out of hours family doctors service for patients with urgent medical problems who need to contact a doctor after normal surgery hours.

The aim of Caredoc is to provide a high quality, easily accessible family doctor service for urgent medical problems out of normal surgery hours.

Persons with identical needs receive the same standard of treatment and care, irrespective of where they live, where they are treated, what their incomes are or whether they are public patients or private patients.


Co Carlow Chamber wish Phonsie McCarron and all the staff of Caredoc continued success in the provision of a top class out of hours service right across the entire south east region.

NOMINATIONS ARE CLOSED FOR THE 2014 BUSINESS AWARDS

Approx 130 nominations have been received for this year's awards meaning our judging panel will have a busy few weeks ahead of them!

Many thanks to all who nominated businesses and we are delighted with the response.

If you have been nominated you will have received notification in the post and it would assist the adjudication panel if you could respond with the information requested before next Wednesday.

Great Exposure for Carlow during President Higgins State Visit to the UK.

Did you know that President Higgins had his suits handmade in Carlow for his State Visit? Where else would he go but to Michael Johnson of Bridge Street for his finery!


A packed Royal Albert Hall and millions of viewers worldwide heard our own Olivia O Leary reminisce about childhood in Carlow and swimming in the Barrow - it even got a great cheer! You couldnt buy the publicity!

Also pictured below is John Nolan of the Carlow Association London meeting the Queen while Josie Gladney Matron of University College Hospital London gave the President a hearty Cead Mile Failte!

Make Your Business Sales Process SMART with the Carlow CEB Sales Masterclass

This programme is designed to allow participants gain an understanding of what it takes to gain customers and to manage their business to the point of growth. Participants will be asked to evaluate current sales techniques and develop a SMART action plan for the future. The workshop will also explore methods to forecast and plan for future sales.

The course will cover the following topics:
• Sales skills techniques
• Segmenting your market and identifying customer needs
• Effective networking with clients
• Getting more from sales meetings
• Structure a cold call to effectively generate results
• Implementing sales strategies
• Targeting the right customers

At the end of this programme participants will be able to identify potential customers, close sales and follow up with a high standard of after sales service and customer care.
Participants will present a sales pitch to fellow participants at the end of this session.
