What is computer engineering?
"Engineers are changing the world all of the time. They dream up creative, practical solutions and work with other smart, inspiring people to invent, design, and create things that matter." -Discover Engineering
Specifically, computer engineering is a broad discipline that has to do with all things computer, ranging from hardware, software, networks (networking), and security. I would aspire to be a computer engineer because of my long-lasting fascination of computers and how they work.
What does a computer engineer do each day?
In general, a computer engineer's day ( in this case software engineer) can usually be summed with one word, hectic. In an interview on iseek.org with computer engineer Jim Amweg, he stated, "I typically work anywhere from eight to fourteen hours a day designing, coding, answering questions, and providing guidance on an as-needed basis."
A computer engineer's day can be anywhere from at their desk, or wherever they are needed as they have plenty of jobs, responsibility, and knowledge.
