TES Principal's Update
From the desk of Ms. Lemerich
Dear TES Families,
Winter break is upon us, and the celebration of many holidays has, and will, be celebrated this month. Ms. Wheaton has shared a beautiful sing-along for all families to enjoy in this newsletter. We hope you and your children enjoy this song!
Many families have contributed to our TES community Padlet to share some holiday and winter joy, and we encourage you to continue to contribute throughout the remainder of this month. While it is difficult to connect with one another in person in ways we traditionally had in the past, opportunities like this allow for us to connect and spread some cheer.
Speaking of spreading cheer, thank you to all the musicians that worked so hard for their first virtual concert! Yesterday, the music department shared "A Night of Music," and the performances were incredible! A special thank you to Mrs. Spina and Ms. Wheaton for coordinating this beautiful display of student performances!
We look forward to welcoming back our students on Monday, January 4, 2021. If you have a child in grades 4-7, please review the updated A/B calendar below for the month of January. This has been updated to reflect school on Monday, January 18, 2021 as a result of our snow day last week.
At this time, and always, Ms. Wheaton's sing-along so beautifully states, "Let there be peace on Earth." My wish for all of our TES families is that this season brings you much joy, peace, and love. Happy holidays and a very happy New Year!
Sincerely,
Katie Lemerich
Principal

The Hunterdon Regional Solo & Ensemble Festival was a success!
Tewksbury's Night of Music
The Music Department in Tewksbury is thrilled to share some music with you!
This virtual concert video features some of the TES Music happenings so far this year in grades K, 1 and 3. It also features performances by the TES 5th grade band and the OTS Concert Band as well as many instrumental solos and small groups. Ms. Wheaton even created some sing-along songs for your enjoyment!
Enjoy a festive night in with the Tewksbury Music Department.
Happy Holidays and we will see you in the new year!
Ms. Amato and Ms. Olla’s class had a very successful service learning project!
Through Ms. Amato and Ms. Olla's class efforts, TES collected over 400 pairs of shoes for Mane Stream. At the conclusion of the project, Ms. Amato’s class held a virtual presentation for Trish Hegeman, Executive Director of Mane Stream, and Louisa Bartok, Marketing and Communications Manager at Mane Stream. Trish Hegeman, Executive Director of Mane Stream later said, “The presentation by your students was amazing. It is clear that they worked very hard on it and I was literally blown away by the amount of work they did to learn about Mane Stream, our mission, our participants and why we need the shoes. Their ability to turn an idea into action is inspiring. Activities like this are the true high point of the pandemic.” It is through service learning that students begin to understand the impact they can have on their local community and beyond. Service learning is an important and valuable component of a whole child approach to education. Every fifth grade student at TES has the opportunity to take ownership, plan, and lead a service learning project this year.
