Welcome Back!
We are excited to start a new school year in a couple of weeks! The first day of school is August 21st this year. I have included dates and times for our orientation and Back to School night. There is also some other information you may need to know. We will have lots of information available for you on those dates.
I have received emails from several parents about being on vacation for orientation. Teachers will be calling all of their students' parents/guardians before school starts. You should hear something from them by the 15th. Please understand that when teachers come back into school, they have many meetings and trainings to attend. They will call you as soon as they are available.
I hope you all are as excited as we are to start the new school year. We look forward to seeing everyone's smiling faces on August 21st!

Parent-Teacher Action Committee (PTAC) Keep an eye out for information on our new "PTAC" committee made of teachers and parents to plan activities for South, as well as volunteer options. | Bus Riders If your student will be riding the bus this year, please put your child on the bus on day 1. It helps to establish a routine. With that being said, please also be patient with the drivers the first two or three weeks of school. They are learning students and routes, and that sometimes takes a while! | New Student Information System Prince George schools has made a move from Tyler Information System to Synergy. You will receive information soon on how to login to see your children's grades and notifications. We have just started making this move a couple of weeks ago. |

School Breakfast and Lunch Information
Families are expected to pay for meals unless approved for free or reduced meals via application or direct certification. If approved for reduced meals, the cost will be $0.00 per meal. Breakfast is $1.50 and lunch is $2.85 (K-5). We want to make sure every child has an opportunity to eat a healthy breakfast and lunch. We do strongly encourage parents to fill out the meal application for their child(ren) this school year.
