SIX FLAGS EXPLANATION

Six Flags Great America should choose this roller coaster to be a new ride in the park because it will be one of the fastest, and the steepest of them all. It also has a new design, as to freefall from one track to another so that it will be a risky ride but it will be worth it.

PART 1

Motion: Constant Velocity- It hasn't started to move yet

Forces: Normal-The marble hasn't moved because its pushing down on the track, and the track is pushing up on the marble

Energy: Potential- The marble isn't moving but it does have the potential to fall

PART 2

Motion: acceleration- it is moving around the track

Force: Friction- it is going around the loop, while creating heat

Energy: potential and kinetic when at top of the loop, kinetic and thermal when at bottom of loop

PART 3

Motion: acceleration- it is speeding out of the hole


Force: gravity- the marble is dropping from the track to the PBC connector

Energy: potential- gravity is acting on the ball, so that it will fall into the PBC connector
