Coyote Connections

A Note from the AP
I hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day Weekend. I can tell you that my heart is full after watching our students play this weekend. I am especially proud of our football team. They improve each week and lay their heart on the line during every down. Their defense is growing stronger every game. Their strength and passion continue to amaze me and I know they are building character and grit with every play. I am grateful for the fans who show up each weekend and want to build attendance for each game. If you're there - thank you and bring a friend for the next game. Have a great week!
We stand with the Uvalde community as they return to school on September 6th. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you begin the school year. Wishing you strength and grace as you move forward. #CoyoteStrong.

Attendance
We started the year with great attendance. Please help us keep that streak going. Remember that beginning at 6th grade, each class students miss is counted as an absence, so one day out is 9 absences. Ensure that your student is in attendance and on time. Missing first period regularly adds up and affects student learning. Thank you for your support for this very important matter!
Sports Schedule
This week both volleyball and football teams play at Clint. The games start at 9:00 a.m. Please support our teams.
The cross country team will be running at home on Wednesday, meet begins at 4:00 p.m.
Grandparent's Day
This Friday, September 9th, Tornillo ISD will celebrate our wonderful grandparents. Please be on the lookout for more information on this popular event.
