Claymation in Mrs Ford's Class

On Wednesday and Thursday of this week, Room 16 celebrated the filling of their 'incentive' marble jar. They made claymation movies! First, groups planned their movies by writing a story map that included characters, setting and storyline. Then, they used plasticine clay to create all their characters and props. Finally, with the help of district tech teacher, Chris Hesselbein, they filmed their movies using ipads and a stop motion application. Movies included action, sound effects and even music! Room 16 5th graders learned skills that they will be able to use in presentations in future grades, along with great practice with story mapping and cooperative group work. And it was such fun, too!

Survival Lesson in Mrs Denney's Class

Mrs. Denney’s class participating in an Outdoor Classroom experience learning about survival from Mr. Anderson, one of the parents in their classroom, who is a Boy Scout troop leader.

Auction Donations

We need your help to make the silent auction a success! Does your family have season tickets to the Blazers, Timbers or local theaters? Could you spare a set of tickets to support our kids and classrooms? Are you members of a local winery who might donate tour or tasting passes? Does your family have a vacation home and could offer a weekend getaway? Could you offer a unique experience like a ride in firetruck, a tour of your unusual workplace or teach a unique skill? Our goal is 100% family participation - help us support your kids and classrooms with a donation today!

Please contact Sarah or Stephanie at hallinanpto@gmail.com if you have something you would like to donate or for questions! Donations always gratefully accepted at hallinanauction.com.

Auction Wine Wall Parties on 2/7 and 2/8!

Wine Wall Parties are a pre-auction chance to socialize with friends and donate bottles of wine to benefit our kids and classrooms.

Two Wine Wall Collection Parties to suit all schedules!

Friday, 2/8 - Evening event at Cascade Sotheby's on State Street (please note date change!)

More details to come!

New this year - buy Wine Wall bottles for your table and auction night servers can cork them during dinner! Such a fun way to raise money for our school AND treat your table to delicious wine with dinner.

New this year - World Class Wines has graciously partnered with Hallinan PTO to return 10% of all wine sales 1/25-2/1 back to us. Thank our community partners by shopping for your wine wall donations or stock up your cellar! Simply mention Hallinan Wine Wall when making your purchase.
