A Weekly Staff Bulletin
Hello Eagles!
This bulletin details the upcoming week, I encourage you to read through it and let me know if you have any questions.
- Thank you so much for your hard work to help PBIS get off of the ground. I appreciate your time and willingness to adopt new systems. Should you have any feedback, please let me know how we can better the system.
- 3rd Grade GATE Testing - Please get all of your GATE materials to be by Tuesday. I will be packing it up and returning it to the district this week.
- 2nd Grade GATE Testing - this week. See the details below, 2nd Grade teachers.
- The Villa Park Rotary has their meeting in our library at 7a on Thursday 2/4. They are having their meeting at our site to learn about Serrano and see what support we might need. If you can think of anything you would like me to highlight in the meeting, please let me know.
Best,
Ashley

MODIFIED WEDNESDAY
2/3 SITE PD
2/10 PLC
2/17 DISTRICT PD
2/24 TEACHER PREP
There is a great ELD training, recommended by many, that I would like to have as our Site PD day but the trainers are unable to be at Serrano on 2/3 due to the number of schools who have booked them that day. I propose a switch to the February calendar so we can take advantage of this training that goes along with ELD standards, Math and Purposeful Grouping. To make a change like this, we must have majority vote by the teaching staff.
If it is voted through, our Modified Wednesday Schedule for February would be switched to:
2/3 PLC
2/10 SITE PD
2/17 DISTRICT PD
2/24 TEACHER PREP
Please use the link below to vote on or before MONDAY (tomorrow). Thank you!
MXL
- MXL Log - Jane has done a GREAT job of tracking our students who attend MXL and for the reason. Please feel free to use the log as evidence in a conference, should you need it: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1m7NXsKWPtf0X0LDF6AOcWv5Q5MpTU2vvypQmiuT_pq0/edit?usp=sharing
2nd Grade GATE
Physical Education Standards
If you plan on utilizing some time throughout the week to fulfill your 100 weekly minutes of PE, please make sure you are leading activities that are in line with the State of California PE Standards and if you have questions or would like suggestions about activities, please see Mrs. McLeary. It is very important that the safety of kids is a top priority in any physical education activity. Thank you for your help in this endeavor.
