Position: CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
In MillenniumFirst Psychology, we are looking for clinical psychologists that strive to reduce the distress and improve the psychological wellbeing of our clients. Using psychological methods, we aim to make positive changes to our clients’ lives and mental health. Clinical psychology is a job that requires working with one particular client group to assess their client’s needs, abilities and personality using psychometric tests, interviews and direct observation behaviour. Our company needs professionals that can devise and monitor appropriate treatment programs like therapy, counselling and advice. Working as a team alongside doctors, nurses, social workers, education professionals, health visitors, psychiatrists and therapists is expected upon taking this job. This field integrates the science of psychology with the treatment of complex human tribulations in terms of mental and physical problems including:
- Depression and anxiety
- Mental illness
- Adjustment to physical illness
- Neurological disorders
- Addictive behaviours
- Challenging behaviours
- Eating disorders
- Personal and family relationship problems
- Learning disabilities
INTERESTS & SKILLS
We are looking for dedicated, hard- workers that would think of our client’s position in their circumstance before their (psychologist) own, and having the ability to communicate deeply with others and understand speaking in metaphors and parables. The skill of focusing their attention fully on a client and using the best of their ability to secure a great lifestyle to all clients is needed for this job. Be creative and optimistic with the intent on looking for ways to find a solution to all patrons. Always have the belief that all people are inherently good, this leads to an incredibly resilient attitude in the face of hardship. Be determined to work hard to ensure that every voice and perspective is heard and always be open-minded on every client’s progress and history, which allows seeing things from unconventional perspectives. Always be willing to lend a helping hand where it’s needed and knowing that helping people makes a great beautiful impact on client’s life gives us a sense of purpose. This position must have a Masters in clinical psychology and is a team member.
· Flexible work days between 1–6 days weekly, scheduled around your commitments
· Working with, and having the support of a friendly multi-disciplinary team
· Daily complex and clinical case review services
· Ongoing referral base with local General Practitioners
