The Central Scoop
Inspiring the Adventure of Learning * September 3, 2019
We hope that your beginning of the year has been smooth and that you and your children are happily learning together! Be sure to check out the Community Connections activities in your area! We hope to see you there!
Please reach out to your HST if you have any questions about the information in the Central Scoop.
Community Connections Teams have launched events all over Central California! Joins us for some innovative, FUN & positive events and field trips.
We have created newsletters for you to find events in your area!
CC Events are not drop-off nor are the CC staff responsible for supervising students at these events. Parents are responsible for providing supervision of their children for every Community Connection activity, event and field trip.
All events will be found and registered for on www.inspirationstation.org. Then you can search for your area and find exciting events. In the newsletters Community Coordinators also link to the registration for events to make it easy for you.
Michelene Fitzgerald is happy to help families find events near them if you are finding it tricky during this launch!. Her email is email@example.com. We cannot wait to see you at our events!
Looking for a Vendor?
On Inspiration Station, you can click on the Vendor List in the upper left-hand corner and search for vendors by name, location, or keyword.
On Facebook- Inspire Schools Central - Vendors are invited to advertise for themselves with flyers and other information in the comments.
Parent Resource Site
The Central California Parent Resource Site has a page which organizes our vendors by county. This can be a helpful resource for seeing what is available near you.

Requesting A New Service Vendor
The first step is to fill out the Vendor Application Survey. This can be filled out by the vendor, the parent, or a teacher. The more information, the better: this includes a good contact person and an email address. Once we receive the survey, we will send the required documents to the vendor within 2 business days. Once they send the 4 required documents back to us, we can add them to the approved vendor list.
High School Counselor's Update
Welcome back! My name is Carmen Marroquin and I am your high school counselor. Here’s a link to my bio if you’d like to know a little bit about me!
I am here to support you and your high schooler throughout their high school career. As a school counselor, my primary goal is to promote social, emotional, and academic growth among all students. I will email out helpful tips and information related to college and career planning throughout the school year, so keep an eye out for those messages.
Some cool things coming from the Counseling Department include college advising, grade level emails, virtual info sessions, college application workshops, financial aid workshops, concurrent enrollment resources, and college and career planning resources.
Families can continue to reach out to me directly to schedule phone or virtual appointments at firstname.lastname@example.org or at (209)720-7177. This year I will offer in-person office hours in Fresno and Merced beginning in September! Families will have priority for in-person time slots.
I look forward to working with you! Have a great 2019-2020 school year!
