Message from Principal Jones Harris
September 19 - September 23
Do you know how many bones you have in your body? Do you know which bone is the smallest bone in your body? If not, Mrs. Zeledon's class has prepared a presentation on this topic. Click on the link below to learn about the skeletal system!
The Lions Club and Rotary Club donated $500 to John L. Ory’s Screen Printing Club!

Greetings Parents,
I hope you enjoyed the presentation from Mrs. Zeledon's class. Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing opportunities are the key focus in all content areas. Our schoolwide initiative is to embed our Communication Arts Theme into our Tier I Curriculum.
Parental involvement is key to your child's academic success. As a magnet school, we not only teach the Tier I Curriculum, we also embed our magnet theme into the curriculum. Therefore, it is imperative that you are an active participant in your scholar's education.
If you missed open house, I encourage you to reach out to your scholar's teacher and schedule a conference or a conference call to learn about the homework, behavior, and grading expectations, curriculum, upcoming assignments, and the core content standards.
We are looking forward to seeing all parents and guardians at our first annual "Bring Your Child to School Day" event. Our teachers and scholars are preparing activities to share with you on this day. Thus far we have 100 parents who have signed up for this event. Registration will close Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. Please be sure to register by completing the survey below so that we are able to have a count and plan accordingly.
Kindest Regards,
Chief Special Agent,
Mrs. Vachella Jones (Harris)
