Prairie View End of Year Newsletter
June 2021
A Note from Mr. Ryan
Prairie View families! It is hard to believe that the end is very near. What a school year it has been in so many ways. Each month I have highlighted those who have made this year successful. I've focused on and thanked my excellent staff; I've highlighted our building's appreciation for the hard work and support of our parents/guardians, and now it's time to recognize our resilient learners. To say our young learners have been resilient is an understatement. They've persevered through a delayed start, blended learning, an adaptive pause, quarantines, masks, social distancing, and the learning curve of Seesaw and Google Classroom. Despite all of these challenges, our students remained positive and worked diligently. I could not be prouder of these young scholars. There is no doubt that we all wished for and craved a "typical" school year; however, despite the obstacles that students, staff, and families faced, we collectively succeeded. Our students have developed new skills that will be impactful in their future years of learning, such as technological skills, problem-solving skills, resiliency, and learning stamina. While we may not be able to identify them now, I genuinely believe that there will be silver linings to the 2020-2021 school year! Have a fantastic summer!
Summer Break 2021
We loved spending time with you this year
At school and online
It's been a different kind of year
A strange kind of time
We missed you as you worked from home
Instead of being with us here at school
But we've made lots of memories
And did things that were pretty cool
We're very proud of all you've done
And your Parents/Guardians too
They've helped to keep things going
When we couldn't be together at school
Soon we say farewell for now
As we take our Summer break
It's time to go and have some fun
More memories to make
Be kind to one another
Stay safe and get some rest
Remember we're so proud of you
You did your very best!
