COVID-19 RESOURCES AND UPDATES

Vaccination Clinics Hosted at SPPS sites

Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS) is working with local partners to offer COVID-19 vaccine clinics for students ages 5-11. In addition to the clinics hosted by St Paul-Ramsey County Public Health that were announced in early November, the Minnesota Department of Health has arranged to host vaccine clinics at other SPPS schools.

Below is the list of clinics that are currently accepting appointments:

Appointments are required and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Patients will receive a date for a second-dose vaccination during their first-dose appointment.

The following vaccination clinics are also being offered at SPPS locations by Odam Medical Clinic and Healthcarestrong.org. These are walk-in clinics that are free and open to the general public. Anyone ages 5 and older can receive a vaccine, including adults who qualify for booster shots. Families do not need an appointment. SPPS is not sponsoring or affiliated with these clinics.

  • 11/22: Benjamin E. Mays IB World School (560 Concordia Ave.) from 3-7 p.m. Fill out this optional survey to indicate that you are interested in attending this clinic.

  • 11/24: EXPO Elementary (540 Warwick St. S.) from 3-6 p.m. Fill out this optional survey to indicate that you are interested in attending this clinic.

SPPS will continue to work with community partners to offer more vaccine clinics in the coming weeks. Check spps.org/covidvaccine regularly to see when new clinics are added.

Hallway Sweeps

Last week we initiated hallway sweeps to help keep reduce the amount of students in the halls while classes are in session and to promote regular attendance and being on time. The students did very well, they moved quickly and safely to their classrooms and we had very few dismals. We will continue reminding the students and carryout random sweeps if necessary.
