Vocabulary Website to Help at Home
3rd Grade Adding Practice At Home:
Make sure you are talking with your child about friendly numbers and knowing their addition facts. When they see 6 + 5, you can practice talking to them about the 5+5 relationship.
Also, if you have a deck of cards, you can play addition war. Each person flips a card over. Whoever adds the total and says it out loud first wins the card.
3rd Grade MATTER Resources and Ideas to Practice at Home for Science:
Mixtures are two or more substances mixed together. You can find these all over the house. Chex mix, mixed cereal, and fruit salad are examples. Have your child go on a mixture hunt and talk about tools they could use to separate mixtures.
