Dance in the Dandelions!

Here we are enjoying a fun time with the Bunny Hokey Pokey. We read Sing, Sophie with Willa's mom and then sang our own songs. We had a blast reading and singing together!

Spring Has Sprung...and brought us jelly beans and lucky charms to graph! :}

Next week we will create our own April calendars and start a new measurement unit. We are going to learn about standard and nonstandard forms of measurement. We will learn how to measure a horse using our hands as horsemen and women did in the past and by a stick that measures by a standard hand - 4 inches. We will measure ourselves as if we are a horse and will discover that students in our class are ponies (14.2 hands or lower) and our teachers are horses (14.3 hands and higher). We will then use our hands, feet, and rulers to measure objects around the school. We will continue our measurement unit as Spring continues.

Puddle Jumpers!

April showers bring May flowers. We found a break in the rain and took the chance to enjoy a beautiful nature walk together!

Happy April Fools! We hope you enjoy your doughnut seeds! ;]

Room 2 needs your help! When the kiddos come back to school after Spring Break, please consider sending them with a new box of crayons and some hand sanitizer. Most Mrs. Ackenbom's Littles are in need of new crayons (Crayola really does work best...Crazy Art crayons break the first time you use them!) and of course we can always use a little help with cleaning up. Thanks so much in advance for your help! :D
