What's New?
Open eBooks Access!
We are excited to be able to offer all of our students free, popular eBooks for their age group through the Open eBooks initiative. Information about this exciting opportunity has been shared with all students and we are looking forward to this program expanding your access to eBooks. There is more information about this program on the homepage of our library website, on the district website, and in the VoiceThread embedded below. If you lose your access code and pin, just email Mrs. Simpson or stop by the library for another copy.
Love Great Books? Love Ice Cream?
If you answered yes to those questions, we invite you to participate in the Missouri Reader's Award Program. What do you need to do?
- Decide if you want to read the Mark Twain nominees or the Truman nominees for 2017.
- Read at least FOUR of the books from one list (yes, you can read from both lists)!
- When you finish with a book, ask Mrs. Simpson or Ms. Corbin for a book summary form - fill it out - and return it back to us!
- Have four books read and summaries complete by March 2017.
- Vote for your favorite book
- Come to a party in April in the library where you'll be first to hear which books are the winners and will enjoy ICE CREAM SUNDAES!!!
ENTER TO WIN!!
The Daniel Boone Library is hosting a Teen Book Face contest. We held a similar contest in the HHS Library in the spring. Students are encouraged to use their entries from that contest to enter the Daniel Boone contest. Photos can be submitted at teens.dbrl.org. Barnes & Noble gift cards will be awarded for the winning entries. Entries are due December 2. Ages 12-18.
