We are committed to the journey of developing EACH child to be an inspired learner and a caring, contributing citizen.
Learning Notes
"Who's Child is This"
-Author Unknown
"Who's child is this?" I asked one day,
Seeing a little one out at play.
"Mine," said a parent with a tender smile
"Mine to keep a little while
To bathe his hands and comb his hair
To tell him what he is to wear
To prepare him that he may always be good
And each day do the things he should."
"Who's child is this?" I asked again,
As the door opened and someone came in
"Mine," said a teacher, with the same tender smile
"Mine, to keep for a little while
To teach him how to be gentle and kind
To train and direct his dear little mind
To help him live by every rule
And get the best he can from school."
I'm thankful that we're all on this journey together. It truly is a gift to watch our kids grow over the years, each day inching closer to becoming inspired learners and caring, contributing citizens.
TCB (Taking Care of Business)
- Report Cards are open for editing, and are locked for parents.
- Report Card Reminder: If a child receives a 2 or 4, please add a brief comment explaining why/what he/she is working on.
- At the Learning Celebration, 5th and 2nd grade students will share something they've learned/a goal they've accomplished at school this trimester.
- The holidays can be a tricky time with our diverse student body. Many of you have found ways to honor multiple traditions and build students' cultural awareness. If you have questions, thoughts, questions, or ideas, please don't hesitate to ask. Our goal is that our school be a place in which all students feel welcome, important, and valued.
