From Mrs. Lewis...
SUPERVISION - Staff members are reminded to ensure students are monitored at all times. This includes locker time, bathrooms, etc. At no time are students to be left unsupervised for even a short period of time.
Don't forget to sign up on the instructional board for a visit to your classroom. Thanks to all who have done so thus far!
Be reminded that during a crisis, when the crisis team arrives, all other staff members and students should leave the scene. Students that are out of control and upset will calm down more quickly without an audience.

The Awards Program is coming up. How do your grades look? Are the majority of your students failing or passing? Kudos to teachers who have thought outside of the box to hold students accountable for the work and content.
Popcorn and Pop will be provided to students on lunch shifts on Friday, January 25th. Please complete the attached form and get to Ms. Audrey by Wednesday, January 23rd.
After school tutoring will be offered to students soon, with transportation. More information to come!
Spartan time lists and topics should be updated and lesson plans current for the upcoming week.

The 2nd Nine Weeks Instructional Planning Day will be held for all staff on the required teacher workday. Please reserve this day for PD and Planning. We are excited to inform you that we will have a guest speaker for the morning time, Craig Boykin. Data Review and planning will take place in the afternoon. Lunch will be provided.
SIT Meeting 1/28 - Please give items to your SIT Reps for this meeting. SIT members should bring data pertaining to their goal.
Grade Level Chairs - Please be reminded to review areas of concern with your teams.
Thank you to all staff members who have been using Flipgrid and Thinglink. This is an expectation and should be utilized before the end of the week.
Field trips are reviewed twice a year by a committee at Central Office. All trips should be planned and submitted at the beginning of the school year and in December. These are the two times of year field trips are accepted.
STUDENTS LEAVING CLASSROOMS - Please limit individual students leaving your classroom throughout the day. Students miss invaluable instruction and also allows for students to meet and plot while out of class. 1 student per PASS if a student does have to leave.
- House leaders please be aware that RADIO SPOTS are to be emailed to Ms. Harris by Thursday, Jan. 24th.
- The Battle of the books team will "Skype" battle a school in Statesville on Thursday January, 24th. Please allow those students to report to the Media Center at 9:30 for approximately one hour.
- Spirit Week will start on Friday Jan. 25th (dress up days to be announced next week)
- If you have a pressing issue with technology, please email Ms Harris and she will respond at the end of the day.
- The media center will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday (1-23 & 1-24) this week for book purging.

Thank you to Amanda Chevalier and Beth Tippett for coming out this past Saturday and volunteering for the Spring Hill Spartan Robotics Team at the FLL competition.
A huge shout out to Mrs. Tippett for organizing the Sno-ball Dance to provide a little fun for our students!

We would like to wish Ms. Jessica VanDeVelde a farewell as she has taken on a job with our local DSS. Ms. V's last day is today, January 18th. Best wishes, Ms. VandeVelde!
