MackinVIA Databases

Students during their library classes have been able to learn more in depth the variety of databases that MackinVIA has readily for them. Students have been having a blast learning how to check their bookbags in BrainHive as well as seeing videos in BrainPop. Students in fourth grade classes have been able to use InfoBits to research their biography homework which made it easier for them to find and locate factual information. Great Job, boys and girls who have been able to recognize the importance of these databases.

Tropic Star Clowns

We had a special visit from our Winter Texans Clowns who reside in Pharr in the community Tropic Star. These wonderful joyous clowns stopped by the library to visit and read to our PK-1st grade students. Students were attentive and truly enjoyed a "clown" read to them the big books. Thank you Winter Texans Tropic Star Clowns. Also a huge shout out to our wonderful support staff that includes Mr. Sandoval-Music Teacher & Coaches (Coach Perez & Coach Martinez) for helping during this event.

Trainer Amanda Griffith empowered students with information about dairy products and the importance of maintaining a healthy daily dairy consumption.
