Office Hours: 8:15 - 4:15
Instructional Hours: 8:50-4:05
Breakfast: 8:20 - 8:45 AM
Students should be in class by 8:50 AM.
Dismissal is at 4:05 PM.
Walkers/Car riders are dismissed first, followed by bus riders.
Buses typically depart by 4:15 PM
Car line: Students must enter/exit a vehicle at the sidewalk area. Please pull forward as far as possible to keep the car line moving. All students must be picked up by 4:20 PM.
Centennial HS Athletic Event Policy
Centennial High School has incorporated a no bag policy for all home games. Personal bags such as backpacks, purses and shoulder bags will not be allowed into our sporting event. Only bags that are clear will be permitted at the gate. Exceptions include small clutches, diaper bags, and camera bags, these bags are subject to search if requested. If you bring a bag to a game that does not meet these requirements, you will be asked to return the bag to your vehicle. Our bag policy applies to students, parents, visitors, and opposing schools. Thank so much for your cooperation.

Part-time ESOL Paraprofessional:
Support English learners in their core content classes; bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required. Pay starts at $16.48/hr and we need support from 12:30 - 4:30 pm. To be eligible for a paraprofessional license, you must meet ONE of the following criteria:
1. Hold an associate’s degree or higher in any subject from a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution.
2. Have completed two (2) years of college coursework (sixty [60] semester hours) above the remedial level with a grade of “C” or better at a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution.
3. Have passed the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment and hold a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Healthcare Science Teacher:
Do you have experience in a healthcare related field? Join our connections team and teach our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students all about healthcare-related careers and skills! You can be issued a teaching certificate if you meet the criteria below. Pay is on the FCS Teacher Salary Schedule.
- Passing score on the Educator Ethics Assessment (test code 360)
- Associate’s degree or higher in a healthcare-related field
- Minimum of 2 years of occupational work experience in the healthcare field
- A current healthcare professional license, registration, or certification that relates to the healthcare field

All parents, families, guardians and community members are invited to attend! This meeting will inform parents of the school’s participation under title 1 and will explain the requirements as well as the rights of parents to be involved in the education of their children

Redistricting 101 Online Meetings.
A districtwide school redistricting effort is scheduled to begin this fall, and two online information meetings (called ‘Redistricting 101’) are set for August 30 (12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.) and August 31 (6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.) will kick off the process. During the meetings, FCS staff will explain the redistricting process, including population trends throughout Fulton County, data, and the School Board's criteria used to create new attendance zone boundaries. These meetings are for information only; no maps will be presented. More details, as well as the Microsoft Teams links to join each meeting, are posted on www.fultonschools.org/redistricting.

Did you know that all FCS buses have a GPS tracker? "Here Comes the Bus" is a free, easy-to-use website and app that enables you to see the location of your child’s school bus on a smartphone, tablet, or personal computer. This way, you know when the bus is near your stop, so you can send your child out at just the right time. No more worrying about whether your child has missed the bus!
How do I sign up?
- Download the Here Comes The Bus app on Google Play or the Apple App Store or visit www.herecomesthebus.com.
- Click the "Sign Up" button
- Enter school code: 87428
- Click "Next" followed by "Confirm"
- Complete the "User Profile" box
- Under "My Students," click "Add." Enter your child's last name and student ID number ("lunch number")
- Once you confirm you information, you're ready to go!
The "Here Comes the Bus" program was created by Synovia Solutions, and the company has made the website available in Spanish and French. If your computer is already set to display one of these languages, the website will automatically use the same language. Otherwise, you can change the language by clicking the current language (such as English) at the top right of the web page.

7th Grade Requirements
Parents of 7th grade students please review the information regarding the 7th grade immunizations requirements:
Beginning with the 2022-23 school year, children entering 7th grade who were born on or after January 1, 2002, and for new students entering a Georgia school grades 8th through 12th must show proof of receiving the following prior to entering school:
One dose of Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccine; and
One dose of Meningococcal conjugate vaccine
The Georgia Department of Public Health Certificate of Immunization (Form 3231) is required as proof of the immunizations. This form is available from your healthcare provider or the health department. A list of local health departments and their service hours can be obtained from the school or online at http://www.fultoncountyga.gov/dhw-immunizations/3708-immunization-clinic-locations-and-hours.. The State of Georgia requires up-to-date or completed immunizations for school attendance. All students entering school must be immunized according to the rules and regulations established by Georgia Department of Human Resources (DHR), and have an updated Immunization Certificate #3231 on file unless one of the following situations exist:
*Medical Exemption authorized by a medical doctor attached to the 3231 certificates (to be reviewed and renewed annually)
*Religious Exemption – Form 2208 Affidavit of Religious Objection to Immunization

It is important to note that meals will NOT be free for all students this school year.
A new application must be completed every school year. Only one application is required per family, even if your children attend different schools. If there is an interruption in benefits or the household does not reapply, the household is responsible for payment of meals until the Free and Reduced Application is approved. Fulton County Schools is making its Student Code of Conduct & Discipline Handbook available online in PDF format (click the link below). Once you have read the electronic version and have reviewed the contents with your student(s), please take a moment to complete the Acknowledgement of Receipt Form by using the provided link below.
All parents and student (over 10 years old) MUST sign this form found within your INFINTE CAMPUS PARENT/STUDENT PORTAL ACCOUNT. If you would like a paper copy of the Handbook, you or your student can request one in your school's front office.
