EPSD 9 “Outstanding School of the Year” - 2018 & 2019
EPSD 9 "Outstanding School Attendance of the Year” - 2019
Principal's Message
For the month of December, Eagle Point School District will remain taking safety precautions that align with our county's 'extreme risk' category. Comprehensive Distance Learning (CDL) instruction will continue, staff will work from home when possible, and limited in-person instruction is capped in all district buildings. This means we cannot add new students to limited in-person instruction - we will not be increasing students coming to campus until we are safe to do so. Our district is taking these precautions to keep our students, families, and staff safe, while meeting the requirements of ODE's Ready Schools, Safe Learners Guidance.
Let's persevere through the next 3 weeks - ending 2020 strong! Please help your students engage in learning opportunities, and pick up supply bags on December 3rd so they have the supplemental supports from their teacher.
This year is different, but it is also important to say that the people are not different! Our tiger community is the same. We will get through this time together and be a stronger and tighter community working together to make TRE a great place to learn!
Enjoy your holidays, take care of yourselves and each other, and we'll see you in 2021!
- Mrs. Shehorn

How do we help young people become more resilient, generous, and emotionally intelligent?
Trait #2 - Gratitude
Trait #3 - Kindness
Family Gratitude Conversation Starters:
- Talk about why you were grateful for the teachers and mentors in your life, then ask your children why they are grateful for theirs. Have they had a favorite teacher? If so, who? What makes that teacher a favorite? If they haven’t had a favorite yet, find out what makes a great teacher in their eyes.
- Gratitude takes practice! What can we do as a family to work on expressing Gratitude more regularly to each other and those around us?
- Discuss why you are grateful for your child. Be specific: who are they? How do they make you feel? Ask them what they are grateful for about your family, your home, your neighborhood, etc.
Congratulations to our Scholars of the Month!
