Crosswell Chronicle
August 29th-September 2nd
Good afternoon,
We hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. We will continue with our fall MAP testing for our K5-5th grade students.
As a reminder, we open the doors each day for arrival at 7:15 and will close promptly at 8:00. If you arrive after 8:00, please be prepared to sign in your child in the front office.
Our Crosswell Cub Habit of the Month is Be Proactive. You are proactive when you: remain calm, take responsibility, think before acting, focus on solutions, and take initiative to make things happen. Look for opportunities to be proactive today! Talk with your child about ways they can be proactive at school, on the bus, and at home!
Please see the weekly information below.
Reach out to the front office at (864) 397-1600 if you have any questions or concerns.

Absences and Excuses
- Please remember to turn in an excuse for each day your child misses school.
- Doctor's notes, parent notes, emails to the teacher or our staff, texts, and Schoology messages will serve as excuses.
- After the 10th absence, doctor's notes are required.
- If a child accumulates 3 consecutive or 5 total unexcused absences, an Attendance Intervention Plan conference will need to be held.
- Continued absences could result in addtional conferencing or referral to the district for truancy.
- If referred to the district, it is possible that a court order will be put in place for attendance.
Free and Reduced Lunch Applications
Free and Reduced LUNCH Applications for 2022-2023
Over the past two years, SDPC has been able to provide free meals to our students due to the USDA waivers associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. This federally funded free school meal program is no longer available beginning the 2022-2023 school year.
If your student qualifies for free or reduced meals, they can still receive them next year, but you MUST TAKE ACTION to make it happen.
