A Message from Our Principal
We talked about “Faith without works” today in our morning prayer service.
St. James tells us that we must be good “doers” as well as good “hearers” of God’s Holy Word. We must share the Word of God by taking care of each other and doing all we can to bring others closer to Jesus.
North Texas Giving (NTG)– Schedule your donation ahead of time beginning today, September 10, or make your donation on September 20. Thank you and God bless you for your generosity. NTG marks the kickoff of our Annual Giving Appeal.
Parent-Teacher Conference Day is Friday, September 21. Parents will use Sign-up Genius to schedule conferences. Students must attend and be in school uniform of choice).
Book Fair begins Monday, September 24.
Grandparents’ Day Mass and reception will be Thursday, September 27 (Noon Dismissal Day). Grandparents are welcome to join us at Mass. If grandparents cannot make the Mass, we welcome our parents in their places.
Immediately after Mass, we will split students / grandparents so that one group will attend reception, while the other half will attend the book fair. Then, we will switch places. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
No School on Friday, September 28 (Diocesan Teacher Inservice Day).
Peace in Christ,
Dr. John Shreve

Uniform Issue - Boys Ties
Holy Family Catholic School’s uniform guidelines require that all boys in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade wear the official school tie on formal uniform days (e.g., mass, etc.). The child-sized tie provided by Mills Uniform Company is a pre-tied tie that has a neck strap similar to a bow tie. During formal dress days the administration has noticed that these ties hang very loosely on the students even though they are cinched as tightly as possible. After discussion with Mills Uniform Company it was determined that there was a manufacturing error with these ties and the neck strap was the incorrect size for a child. At no cost to you Mills Uniform Company will alter or replace these ties for you. To have your ties altered or replaced you must take them to their store located at 5460 E. Loop 820 S., Fort Worth, TX 76119.
