Grizzly Gazette
October 2022
Hello Grijalva Families
October is here, and with it comes our cooler weather. Remember, students will be on Fall Break from October 10-14 (no school). We hope that you enjoy some great family time together during the break.
As we approach the end of the first quarter, it’s time for our young grizzlies to show off all they have learned on the district benchmarks. You can help your child by ensuring they get to bed early and eat a healthy dinner the night before and a healthy breakfast the day of the test and of course, enduring they arrive on time and ready to go.
Safety Updates
As a school community, we are working to ensure the safety of all students. We are asking that all visitors/volunteers please sign in at the front office. If you are interested in volunteering, we would love to have you! We value our family volunteers and appreciate the partnership. If you are a parent/guardian, you are not required to have fingerprint clearance to volunteer in your child's classroom. You will simply need to fill out the volunteer form.
Health Office News
Thank you for continuing to keep your student(s) home when sick. Please remember that after illness, the district is still requiring a negative COVID test or doctor's note for return to campus. If your student tests positive for COVID-19, notify us immediately. We have seen several different types of illness, and it's important that we help each other stop the spread.
Also, if your child is not up-to-date on all immunizations (DTaP, Polio, Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella) please schedule an appointment and provide us with the updated immunization record. If you need help locating a clinic, call the Grijalva health office. Thank you and stay healthy!
