2023-2024 Staffing / Program Placements
At this time, I can share that EEA will house all PK and PKCollab classrooms from the north and west side of our district. This includes all ECSE programs currently housed at those campuses. The zoned schools for the EEA PK and ECSE are: TCES, CFES, CES, TES, RES, DPES, GOES. This would include all 3 year olds zoned to those campuses and ECSE SLL (district program) as well.
It is likely that LES will host full day PK Collab programming and continue to have a 3 year old 1/2 day ECSE program. WES will likely continue to house 1/2 day PK and 1/2 day ECSE programming for WES, and WCES 3-4 year old students and CPES 3 year old students.
More details will likely be available and finalzied by our Cross Talk for clarification and any quesitons.
No other program moves are anticipated at this time.
Staffing discussions, requests, and finalization is occuring now. We shouldl be able to share final clarifications and information with you at our Cross Talk.
See you then!
GameChanger Challenges for the Week
We are TISD GameChangers!!! Here's to a great 2023 being a year of positive change we can make for others!
This week, let's celebrate our Diagnosticians! Any tweets or emails to me celebrating the group or individual diagnosticians with the hashtag (or subject line for email) of #TISDGameChangers #DiagnsoticianWeek2023 and Student Support tagged if on twitter, will get 2 points per email to me or tweet. Not to exceed 4 points per team.
TIP OF THE WEEK:Do's and Don'ts Chart for Considering Shortned School Day
Don't short-change students with disabilities by shortening their school day. In the long term, it could infringe on a student's ability to receive FAPE. An IEP team may need to shorten a student's school day for various reasons, including difficulty with transitions. When shortening a student's school day, consider the following dos and don'ts.

Dr. Ann Le -A SHSU Distinguished Educator of the Year!
LES assessment staff for a wonderful shout out from the principal!!!
Jen Durrett - She has been great communicating with me on the evaluations that others took over the testing piece, while I had the writing of the evals. In taking extra evals from other campuses, Jen has been communicating with me on balancing my workload while taking on some of the extras. Jen, thanks for your support as our Lead Diagnostician!
