The Compass
Week of March 28, 2022
Navigation Notes
Hello Westside Families! We had quite an exciting week with our Fun Run Kickoff and first few days of fundraising. Explorers already earned Crazy Hat Day for reaching $5,000 and now have earned PAJAMA DAY on Tuesday, March 29th, for reaching the $10,000 milestone! See below for all the latest stats on our progress!
Kindergarten Registration begins this week! If you have a future Explorer, stop by our office for your registration packet and information. We are so excited to add new Explorers to our Westside family!
On Wednesday, March 30th, we are offering Spring Portraits for students. ALL ORDERS will be ONLINE ONLY for this session. See flyer and more information below.
This Friday, 4/1, is our BIG Fun Run Event to end our fundraiser! Be sure your child is dressed for outdoor play including sneakers and brings a water bottle! Students may also bring hats and sunglasses to wear during the event.
Next week, our 3rd-6th graders will begin their annual state assessments. Third grade will take their FSA ELA and 4th-6th will take their FSA Writing. Please be sure they get a good night's sleep, eat breakfast, and are HERE and ON TIME each morning.
Last, Staff Appreciation Week is May 2nd-6th. If you own a business and would like to sponsor something to treat our staff, please email Mrs. Woodbury. I am also collecting $10 gift cards to give each staff member that week. Amazon, Target, Wal-Mart, Dunkin, and Chick-fil-A are popular! If you would like to donate, simply drop them off at our front office (ATTN: Mrs. Woodbury). Let's show these hard-working individuals how much we care!

Westside is Gaining Momentum!
WOW is all I can say for our first few days of fundraising! Our Kickoff Pep Rallies were full of energy and excitement and students have starting gaining momentum towards our goal!
As of right now, Westside has raised an estimated $11,000 in profits towards our $30,000 goal from 28 states. Keep up the fantastic work posting your child's link on social media and emails! If you have not yet registered on the FREE site at MYBOOSTER.COM , please take a few minutes to do so. Once registered, students can watch videos on the program, see all prize options and much more. Donations are also open if you want to share the link from your dashboard. Thank you to the families who have registered and donated!
**If you are a registered volunteer, we would LOVE to have your help at our Fun Run event, 4/1. Contact Roxanne Knowles at Knowles.Roxanne@Brevardschools.org
