The Cotton Classic
The Hazel Green football team takes on Buckhorn tomorrow night in The Cotton Classic at HOME! Student tickets will be on sale Friday during lunch for $4. If you would like to purchase a regular ticket early, you can buy tickets online at https://gofan.co/app/school/AL1013 or at Hazel Green Pharmacy. Let's go, Trojans!!

Members receive a T-shirt and can enter through the pass gate at each regular season home game for all sports at HGHS! We will continue to take registration forms through September 6th, but shirt may not be available until a later date. You can register online at MySchoolFees (put shirt size & school in comments) or turn in your form at your school or at HGHS. Email cbutler@madison.k12.al.us with questions.

Current Announcements
Homecoming: We are getting excited about Homecoming and hope you will join us for our festivities this year! The parade is Thursday, September 12, at 6 p.m. and the pep rally and bonfire will take place immediately after the parade. The homecoming game is Friday, September 13, at 7 p.m. Homecoming festivities will take place during halftime of the game. Please look at the flyer below for more information. The HGHS Parade Participation Waiver will have to be completed for each person who is in the parade. Let's go, Trojans!!
Homecoming Dance: The HGHS Homecoming Dance "Night of a Thousand Lights" will be Saturday, September 7, from 7-11 p.m. in the cafeteria. Tickets will be sold again at lunch this Friday. Tickets are $15 for individuals and $25 for couples. Students must have a presale ticket to get into the dance, and there will be no passes out during the dance. There will be snacks and bottled water for sale. Lifetouch will be on site to take pictures.
***Students will be allowed to bring a guest to the dance this year as long as the Homecoming Guest Permission Form is completed, signed, and returned to Mrs. Helton in the Attendance Office no later than September 4th.

Class Fees: Class fees are due by Friday, September 6th. The Madison County Student Course Catalog 2019-20 located on the MCBOE and Hazel Green High websites, list classes that require fees. These fees are set by the Madison County Board of Education. Please look at the list of classes above that require class fees. Please check your student's schedule for these classes. Class fees are due by September 6th and can be paid online at MySchoolFees (no student ID number required) or by cash or check at HGHS.

PSAT/NMSQT:
Attn: 10th and 11th Grade Students
The Preliminary SAT or PSAT/NMSQT will be given at Hazel Green High School on Wednesday, October 16, 2019. This is an optional test that provides practice for the SAT and serves as the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test for 11th grade students. The cost of the test is $20 and is payable by check to HGHS or by cash. My School Fees cannot be used at this time for the test. Pay and sign up in the Guidance Office before September 13. Senior Portraits: The deadline to take your senior portrait for the yearbook is October 17th.

Online Application for Free/Reduced Meals: Online free and reduced meal applications are available at the link below for a faster, more confidential way to apply. A new application must be completed each school year to qualify for free or reduced meals. Your child's eligibility status carries over to the new school year for the first 30 school days, allowing parents time to re-apply. Only one application per household should be submitted, and everyone living in the house must be included on the application.
