The first cell phone was made of plastic and a big circut board. The reason the phones can be so much smaller now than it was back then is because of the circut board size.

It was made in midtown Manhattan by a man named Martin Cooper

How does it work?

Cell phones allow people to wirelessly communicate. People can now text or call anyone from anywhere they are. Smart phones allow you to access the internet for where you are.

Impact on society?

Cell phones have impacted society in many ways. People have lost there way of interaction face to face with people because of cell phones. People now don't have to walk to there neighbors house to talk when they can just call them. Students have lost many grammar skills because of text lingo. Also risks of car accidents have greatly increased . There are many disadvantages to cell phones as well as advantages.

How has cell phones led to change?

Well the cell phones have evolved to a point that you can find anything on your cell phone, like you can order food from your cell phone and entertain yourself with your cell phone by watching movies,tv shows you can basically do anything on your phone.

How has it impacted the way people use their resources?

Well instead of going some were like the library to find information or check books out you can do that all on your cell phone. All that power is at the tip of your hands.

How has it impacted where people are able to live?

Back in the days, you had to work near the headquarters of where your job was but now you can live pretty much anywhere and still be able to communicate with your employees. it gives you more freedom to pick
where you want to work.

What is the impact of your innovation on globalization?

Cell phones are one of the main reasons of globalization because social media apps such as Facebook and twitter make it extremely easy to share and communicate with anyone across the world, resulting in the diffusion of popular culture to other countries.
