WE ARE THE CPS 7th/8th BOYS BASKETBALL TITLE CHAMPIONS!!!! (CIWP #6)
Well, our Boys Basketball Team have done it again. Winning back to back to back championships in 2015 and 2016. Does anyone hear the words "three-peat" for next year? Our boys won against Melody 57-43 on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Dunbar H.S. When you see them, please give them a silent wave or high five. Their future looks bright and many coaches in the city are asking for them to select their high schools to bring Title 1 Championships to their schools too. A special thanks goes to Coaches Randy Giles and Machi Barrett for their leadership.
We would like to give an honorable mention to our Girls Basketball Team. Even though they lost to Comer 21-10, we know next year they are going to come showing more support, growth and a competitive edge as a team. A special thanks goes to Coach Latanya Reed for her leadership.
Nice job Beasley Bees!

We thank the following students for representing our school featured left to right: Carvel Kelly, Antione Westbrook, Kendall Brasfield, Marcus Hill, Kenton Wright, Janai Norfleet, and Nelson Moody. We would like to give an honorable mention to Marcus Hill who had the highest math scores for our 7th grade team.

My Voice, My School Surveys
We are asking that our Beasley teachers complete the My Voice, My School Surveys. Please go to https://survey.5-essentials.org/cps or please see Mrs. Rendleman to help you access the school survey. Our goal is to have 100% of the teachers to complete the survey. Our 5th grade students are scheduled to take the surveys on Monday, February 22, 2016. This survey is worth 10% of our SQRP Rating. Our goal is to achieve Level 1+.
Our goal is to start the upper grades surveys on Friday, February 26th, 2016.
Student vs. Staff Basketball Game
We will have a Student vs. Staff Basketball Game on Friday, February 26th, 2016 in the afternoon. Any staff members who are interested in participating in playing are to see Mr. James. This is another way we intend to improve upon the relationships that we have with our students. 6th-8th grade only will be allowed to view the game due to space in the gym.
Keep in Your Hearts
We ask that you keep in your hearts Mrs. Bertoncini (1st Grade Teacher) who delivered a baby girl named Stella Grace, We ask to keep in your hearts Mrs. Stockstell (8th Grade Teacher) for recovery and healthy returns. We also ask to keep in your hearts, Ms. Paige who lost her nephew today.
Discipline
We would like to acknowledge a teacher who was Caught Being Good by the principal. We would like to give a huge kudos to Ms. Chanel Thornton (7th) who was seen giving Sweet Heart treats to students as they excited orderly out of the building at dismissal.
