GES SPIRIT WEEK
- Monday, September 27: Wear your craziest and most mismatched clothing!!
- Tuesday, September 28 - Tropical Tuesday: Break out those tropical and Hawaiian-print shirts and dresses
- Wednesday, September 29 - Workout Wednesday: Wear your favorite workout, fitness or sports-themed clothes
- Thursday, September 30 - Tye Dye Thursday: Wear your favorite tye-dyed clothing
- Friday, October 1 - Gator Gallop Friday: Wear your Geist Gator T-shirt.
Picture Retakes - October 7
If your student was absent on our original picture day (August 18) or has enrolled since then OR you are unsatisfied with the school picture you received please send your student ready to be photographed on Thursday, October 7.

Masks and Quarantine
If students DO NOT keep masks on in the classroom or bus more students will have to quarantine than usual.
NWEA Scores and Report Cards
The 1st grading period ends October 8. Report cards may be accessed in Skyward for 1st grading period on October 14 after 3PM.
Vision Screening for 1st and 3rd Grade
Vision screening is required by the Indiana State Board of Health for 1st and 3rd graders. These students will be screened on Wednesday September 29. Near and far vision will be screened, the results are pass or fail. You will only be notified if your student fails the screening test. If your child wears glasses or contacts, please make sure they have them at school during these days for accurate testing results. Gator Gallop - GES Fundraiser
Hello, Geist Gators!
We are just days away from our Gator Gallop Fun Run and it is definitely a close race between classrooms! We reached our school's fundraising goal of $30,000 this week! And because of your efforts and the generosity of your friends and families, we have raised more than $34,000 which means our school has reached the first-tier award, so keep your eyes peeled for Gatorade; he's excited that we're doing so well with our fundraiser!

Recreational Basketball Registration Remains Open: Play with us this winter! Registration for boys and girls interested in skill development and building a love for the game is open at myathletics.com. Offered to kindergarteners through 8th grade. Information and registration can be found here.
Already registered for boys recreational basketball? Learn dates for the free Mudsock Boys Basketball Rec Clinic (registered athletes in grades 2nd-5th), rec evaluations (grades 2nd-8th), and drafts here. This page will continue to be updated as specific times are finalized.
Please note, team assignments for athletes registered for girls recreational basketball will be announced at the end of October.
*High school intramural basketball information will be released at the end of November.

HSE Report It! is a school safety mobile reporting app that allows students, staff, and community members to provide anonymous information about concerns for their own safety or the safety of others. HSE Report it!, can be downloaded via Google Play or the Apple App Store. It’s anonymous and reports are made exclusively through the mobile app. HSE Report it! will has no length limitations or the need to remember a short code. Reporters can attach photos, screenshots, videos, documents and/or audio recordings to their concerns and they can engage in a two-way dialogue with a real person.
