Reading Rocks
If you're wondering how to find ways to read from home and you have Internet access, here are a few great ways to get your read on!
- Mrs. Cummings read-alouds - Go to the Elementary Library Webpage for videos of Mrs. Cummings reading library books to each grade levels. New videos being added every few days.
- Tumblebooks on the CCS Elementary Library Database Page (email me at minette.cummings@cambridgecsd.org if you need the password to access) has storybooks read aloud for younger students, popular E-books and graphic novels for older students to read themselves, and educational videos
- The free SORA app or SORA website has hundreds of free E-books and audio books for CCS students. To access from either the downloaded app or the website, navigate to WSWHE and then to Cambridge Central School. Login with your Google school username and password (if you need help remembering it, email your teacher)
- Free Audible Stories for Kids - Audible is temporarily providing access to free audio books for kids as long as schools are closed. No need to create accounts - just click and listen!
Meanwhile, I really miss seeing all my students in library and welcome any of you to send me an email to let me know what you're reading and learning!
