ZCMS Pirate Post - October 2022 🏀
News and Updates
Hello ZCMS Families!
Principal Johnson here. I want to share a few updates with you:
Costumes (Oct 31st)
Students are allowed to wear costumes on Monday, October 31st. Costumes must be school appropriate (no adult themes) and students may not wear masks. We enjoyed the entertaining and fun costumes last year and want to continue the tradition!
7th Grade Chicago Wolves Field Trip (Pictured)
Our 7th grade students and teachers had a fantastic time on their field trip to see the Chicago Wolves this past Tuesday. Some of our students even got to ride on the zamboni. Thank you Ms. Young (7th Grade Science Teacher) for organizing this!
Athletics
Congratulations to our Boys Soccer and Girls Volleyball teams for wrapping up their seasons. We were very impressed with the toughness, kindness, and teamwork that our players have shown this year! Girls Basketball tryouts will be starting next week. For students to be eligible to play for athletics, their grades must be in good standing and they must not have any major referrals to the office.
Student Celebrations
Every week, we have a raffle to celebrate students showing good behavior in school. Our students have been doing very well following classroom expectations. This week, we have been focusing on hallway expectations. We will also be recognizing a Student of the Month starting next month. These students will represent the best of what ZCMS stands for.
Zion Elementary District 6 students are the best students. Families, I appreciate your support of our students and school.
Thank You,
Principal Johnson

Noticias Escolares
Aquí el director Johnson. Me gustaría compartir algunas novedades:
Gracias,
Principal Johnson
