New Gaston Staff
Hello Students, Parents, and Staff !
My name is Courtney Frederick and I am a physical education student teacher this fall from the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater. I want to thank the Gaston Community for welcoming me into your school and providing me the opportunity to get to know, work with, and learn from the students and staff of Gaston. Prior to my time at Whitewater I earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Exercise Science.
Some of my favorite things to do include playing board or card games, all types of outdoor activities and games, traveling and exploring new places, and long distance running. I am excited to be apart of this community and to be Gaston proud! I can't wait to meet everyone through out the first week back and to get started on a great school year!
Gaston LOVES Our Families
Ways to be involved:
- join the PTO (parent-teacher-organization)
- attend events
- attend parent-teacher conferences
- read with your child at home
- ask your child about their school day
- read newsletters that come home
- contact your child's teacher or principal about questions, concerns or how to help your child
- volunteer in your child's school
These are options, and not every option works for every family. Choosing 1 or 2 is a great way to start!
Ask your child's teacher about signing up on ClassDojo!
Back to School Time
I'm thrilled to be writing this as the Interim Principal at Gaston Elementary. Gaston has a history of amazing learning and family involvement. Let's continue that! The teachers and I want to work with you for the best school experience possible for your child. This year will be filled with growth for your child, they will learn a lot including reading, writing, math, science and social studies. Your child will also grow socially and emotionally which includes things such as, learning to be a good friend, showing respect during learning, sharing, taking turns, solving problems, etc.
Gaston staff will be communicating with you throughout the year to share information about your child's growth along with the great things happening here at Gaston!
As principal of Gaston, I am committed to your child's learning and safety. Please contact me at any time with questions, comments or concerns.
