Stop Animal Abuse

What is Animal Abuse? How are animals affected by it?
Animals abuse is when an innocent animal is being tortured because they didn't do anything. Animals are affected worldwide about this issue. The United States has made laws saying that you cannot have slaughter houses for horses and other animals, but people will put horses on trucks and drive them over the border to another country without food or water to eventually be slaughtered. Other ways an animal can be abused is by dog fighting, which can really be so intense that the other dog wit do a lot of damage. Sometimes that abuse can happen in ways that you don't know that you're hurting the animals. One of these is by having too many animals so that you won't be able to take care of all of them and to give each one the care that they need. Humans are all the cause of this, we haven't been taking care of our pets and animals very well. We are the ones who are causing these animals to suffer, and their doing nothing wrong.
"Not every person knows how to love a dog, but every dog knows how to love a person."
Dogs
Dog fighting is one of the main things that causes dogs to be abused. Human deliberately put their dogs into dog fights believing that their dog will win, and if they do, 'cha-ching' money in their pocket. Until 2008, dog fighting has been going on, and even though there are laws now to prevent people from doing that. Normally, you would stop after the law because there are punishments that follow but even after the law was passed over 24 dogs were saved from a dog fighting ring in Baltimore, Maryland.
Another problem is abandonment, although many people believe that leaving a dog or puppy beside the road is improbable, but it does happen very commonly. Normally this happens when an owner does not feel that they can take care of the dog anymore or when they do not have the financial amount of money to afford to pay for the expenses.
"The wild, cruel animal is not behind the bars of a cage. He's in front of it."
Horses
The main act of abusing horses is slaughter. Whenever some owners don't think that a horse is going to be able to race, or work, or something else, their answer is to send them right over to the slaughter house. Sometimes it's not even when they're like that, they could be as young as one week old and their being sent already. In some slaughter houses horses don't die quickly, mostly a nail gun is used to shoot bolts into their heads, and this doesn't kill quickly, so while horses are being slaughtered they are feeling the pain.
