College Application Process
Seniors are encouraged to continue completing their college applications electronically via the college websites. It is an honor for a staff member to be asked to write a letter of recommendation and they want to do a good job in representing you to the college of your choice. Students must complete a letter of recommendation form and submit that to their counselor and/or teachers. Forms are located in the Counseling Office as well as on the website in the senior documents file. Please request a letter of recommendation well in advance (7-10 days) of the deadline. Thank you!
Social Media
The Counseling Office uses the Grand Blanc High School Facebook and Twitter pages to post all upcoming events and important information for students and parents. Library
Our hours are Monday – Friday 6:30am to 3:30pm. We do close the doors at 2:45pm to encourage student studying. Our National Honor Society provides free student to student tutoring on every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
With the snow season soon to be upon us, remember to keep a plastic bag in your backpacks to help protect your Chromebooks and textbooks from water damage.
Please renew those library books! We have approximately 215 overdue books. We would much rather renew books than charge the overdue fines of 10¢ a day.
New books arrive at least monthly! We love suggestions for new reading material so please let us know if there is something you would like to request.
Lastly, we have about 241 students will textbooks out from previous years. Please return these ASAP!
College Board Accounts: 9th – 11th grade
A College Board account is required of all students. If you do not have a College Board account already set up, please do so at www.collegeboard.org . The student needs to be the one to set this up. Do not set up a second account. This account is needed for PSAT9, PSAT10, and SAT review, score viewing, and score sending to colleges. Please keep your login and password somewhere where you can find it as needed. These accounts are sometimes used during class time. If you already set up an account and cannot remember your login and password information, please call College Board at 1-866-756-7346. Staff do not have students information.
