Phones & Driving

Why is it bad????

Since the introduction of mobile phones, there's been an increasing concern for road safety. More than 80% of Australians own or use a mobile phone. All throughout Australia, hand-held devices use while driving is illegal, but it's not illegal for a hands-free device.
Distraction had been identified as a huge contributing factor in 22% of car accidents and 71% of truck crashes. Using a mobile phone whilst driving is highly distracting and increases your risk of having an accident by four times. Despite governmental bans, between 39% and 73% of Australian drivers have used their hand held device at sometime whilst driving.
