Routines are important for students' well-being. It helps them mentally and emotionally to have an idea of what to expect is going to happen next. Establishing routines in the home helps students focus on school and learning as it takes their mind off the concern about what will happen later.

A message from Mrs. Traver
Hope you're all doing great as we start this new school year. I wanted to touch base regarding a few policy items as we walk into week 3 of the school year.
- Cell Phones Reminder - Student please keep cell phones put away during class time. If we spot 'em - we'll take 'em! Help us to keep our focus on learning.
- Dress Code - Big shoutout to those of you who continue to meet our dress code. You're helping create a positive and respectful community. We have been doing our best to address any infractions as needed.
- Cafeteria Norms - Our cafeteria is the perfect place for students to take a much needed break from their studies. Please help to keep our cafeteria in its best shape and clean up after yourselves. It's all about teamwork!
- Attendance - Our first hallway sweep was successful. It's all about helping everyone get to class on time. Remember, if you've got more than three tardies, you will be issued an after-school detention.
Thank you for your attention to these important items. In the end of the month edition of the Smore look out for a recap of the September academic and discipline data. We look forward to a successful and productive school year. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Meet the Principal
Scott Williams
Happy Friday to all of our Mustang Families! I have had a wonderful start to this school year and the students and staff have been so welcoming! Thank you, all! I wanted to take a little time to give you a little background of who I am, and what I enjoy doing outside of school.
I am a proud father of four daughters, all of whom graduated from Clio Schools! My wife, Julie, is the Superintendent of Schools at Lake Fenton Community Schools and she also happens to be my best friend. I am a huge Michigan fan and my wife and I enjoy attending and watching many athletic events. Go Blue!
Julie and I are proud grandparents to our first grandchild! His name is Dax and he arrived three months ago. Spending time with family is when I am enjoying my best life! I try to golf, though not very well, and I love the outdoors and the change of seasons.
Please reach out to me if you have any questions about your student and their progress. I look forward to meeting you all!
