RILINK Changes Continue

Donna Good has resigned her post with RILINK to focus on her many other interests. She has been involved in RILINK almost since its beginning as the Library Media Specialist at Narragansett High School which joined RILINK in 1999, the second year of RILINK's existence. Shortly thereafter, she worked with a high school rhetoric class, helping them search through both RILINK and the public library network for information on music and its effect on our culture, getting materials from Coventry, West Warwick, and Smithfield schools as well as the Coventry and Providence public libraries. The information and resources were the foundation for student PowerPoint presentations. Donna also found resources to add to her collection in the future. An active RILINK member, she participated in shaping RILINK's development and supported OLIS in 2003 when it was threatened by budget cuts. She was honored in 2014 as an outstanding alumna by the University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Library and Information Studies for her leadership and service to the profession. After her retirement from Narragansett, she joined the RILINK staff in April 2017, working on eResources Collection Development, building our shared BookLynx Collection of eBooks and audiobooks. She has been tireless in her search for materials to represent all of our students and in planning and presenting RILINK's professional development offerings.

We will miss you Donna, and we know that you will continue to think about us. You will always be in our hearts.
