Good Evening Families,
Given Dr. Smith's Town Hall meeting on Wednesday, we have had much to digest. As we now know that we will continue with our virtual learning for the entire first marking period, we will continue to learn the Schoology platform and work to build student's stamina with online learning. Thank you all for your feedback and for your words of positivity and encouragement!
Parents, you should be receiving an email about your PARENT ACCESS SCHOOLOGY ACCOUNT by the end of the day today. Please review this PARENT'S GUIDE TO SCHOOLOGY presentation for additional information about its features.

Review the SMCPS Acceptable Usage Policy and the SMCPS Online Platform Permission information. This form [LINK] must be completed for each student in SMCPS no later than September 30, 2020.
Technology Distribution
Meal Services
· Will serve anybody under the age of 18 years old for FREE
· Serve on Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 11am ~ 1 pm at the front of the school
· We ENCOURAGE you to pre-order online at the SMCPS website. If your children’s home school is not Duke ES, you still have the ability to pick up breakfast/lunch from Duke ES. If your children are not present with you at the time of pick up, you will need to fill out a permission form for release of meal, however, this will only need to be completed once. If you do not place a pre-order, we have same day Drive up services as well.

· On Monday and Wednesday, each bag consists of 2 breakfast meals and 2 lunch meals. On Friday, each bag will consist of 1 breakfast meal and 1 lunch meal.

Please know that the email / online registrations that have been completed this summer are considered a temporary registration as the schools are closed. We are required to get the original registration documents before the students are allowed to physically attend school in person. If you did not come in for an appointment to register your child, I will need the originals of any documents that require your signature (and of course, I need your signature on them). These documents were emailed to us; therefore you should have them already. You do NOT have to redo all of your documents, just get me the originals of the documents that you submitted to us.
