2022-2023 Back-to-School Checklist
☐ Complete the required eforms in the SIS K12 Portal no later than Sept. 30. These forms include proof of residency and more.
☐ Check SIS K12 Portal for K-12 teacher assignments.
☐ Review school supply lists and purchase needed items. High schools do not have supply lists because course requirements vary. We suggest bringing a notebook and pen or pencil on the first day to record specific teacher requests.
☐ Families with incoming kindergarten students, make sure to register your child if you haven't already done so.
☐ Make arrangements for before- and after-school care. If you plan to use Chautauqua, don’t wait to sign up. Spots are filling fast, and waitlists are growing.
☐ Take note of this year’s Late Start days. The District provides $10 supervision (separate from Chautauqua) for K-5 students who need to be dropped off at their regular time on late start days. Learn more.
☐ Schedule immunization appointments with your healthcare provider, as needed. Children may receive their immunizations from our on-campus Mercy Clinic, their health care provider, or at the St. Charles County Health Department. Call ahead to make an appointment at our Mercy Clinic at 636-455-3820 to ensure they have the needed vaccine. Learn more about required immunizations.
☐ Plan to participate in extracurricular sports this fall? Make an appointment for your child’s sports physical. Families can make physical appointments at our on-campus Mercy Clinic for $35 or with their primary care physician. Call 636-445-3820 to schedule an appointment at our Mercy Clinic. Team tryouts start Aug. 8. Find more information on your school’s athletics website: Holt, Liberty, North Point, and Timberland.
☐ Does your student take over-the-counter or prescription medication? If so, get updated medication orders from their physician that include the name of the student, name of drug, dosage, frequency of administration, route of administration, and the prescriber's name. Drop both the physician orders and medication off at your child’s school for the nurse prior to the start of school.
☐ Meals are no longer free in the 2022-2023 school year. Meal charges will resume on the first day of school, August 22. Check meal and fee balances and add funds to your child(ren)’s meal account in the SIS K12 Portal.
- Breakfast K-12 ~ $1.95 | Elementary Lunch K-5 ~ $3.00 | Secondary Lunch 6-15 ~ $3.10
- Reduced Price Meals - Breakfast ~ $0.30 | Lunch ~ $0.40
☐ Need assistance? Applications for free & reduced-price meals are available here or at any school office. In an effort to assist families as we transition back to paid meals, the USDA has increased the income guidelines used to determine eligibility. Click here to see the income guidelines. If you believe your family would qualify for this program, please fill out an application. Applications can be returned by the following methods:
