DEVICE and HOT SPOT Check IN
Devices AND chargers need to be returned to school on Thursday, May 20th. Students who fail to turn in both will be charged for the missing device and/or charger. The following Wednesdays, students will be given paper packets to complete their at home learning.
Virtual:
Virtual students will need to turn in their devices AND chargers to the front office on either June 3rd (12-3:30 or 4:15-7pm) OR June 4th (9am-2pm). Parents will pull up in the bas lane or park. Staff will be outside at tables waiting to receive the devices. They will check the status of the device, mark that you have turned in case, device, charging cables, and blocks, and give a receipt to the parent.
If devices are turned in on June 3, this counts as attending June 4th as well. If devices and chargers are not turned in by 4pm on June 4th, students will be charged for the missing device and/or charger!
Please do not try to drop off devices between 3:30 and 4:15 on June 3rd as we will be dismissing students.
Hot Spot:
All who received a hot spot from the district will need to return the device to the district no later than June 4th at 2pm in order to not be charged for the hotspot! You may turn it into the front office or send it to school with your student if they attend in person.
5th Grade Celebration DETAILS
Date/Time: June 4th 10:00am
Location: Belvidere Playground (lower level, south side of building)
Details
- Virtual students will need to be dropped off to the school (through the office) by 9:30am. NO PARENTS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING
- Each student will get 4 tickets to allow special people to attend the ceremony. Please be respectful and do not have more than 4 people per student (kids and adults) so we can safely have our ceremony.
- Parents will need to park in the BACK parking lot and enter the playground through the back gate (you will walk around the building to find seating). We will have signs and people to help you find your way.
- We ask that all guests are seated by 9:45am so we can start the ceremony promptly.
- MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS EVENT! - Unmasked attendees will be asked to return to their car.
The ceremony will be broadcast live as well. All families will receive a link to the broadcast so they can watch from a safe distance if they do not want to come in person and/or can offer the link to family that are not able to attend.
***If there is rain, the ceremony will be relocated to the gym and ALL parents will need to watch from the broadcasted link instead of in person***

Daycare Assistance
Below is a Missouri notice that childcare subsidy is currently available to help working parents of school-age children pay for full-day childcare on days their children’s school is not in-person. It is also available for up to 90 days for parents looking or work. Parents must apply before December 31, 2020 using one of the following options:
- The best place to apply is online: https://apps.dss.mo.gov/fmwBenefitCenter/Account/SignInInfo.aspx.
- Paper application is also available: https://dss.mo.gov/fsd/child-care.htm
Applying online gives parents the ability to know the status of their application at any time. It helps ensure the documents uploaded are connected to their case, even if there is not clearly identifying information on it. It avoids the challenges encountered when connecting through the phone system.
(LINC/MARC can also help grandparents or other home-based providers get registered to receive state payment. It’s a lot to do but we can help them through it.)
I have attached a copy of the printer-friendly flier. Please contact me if you have any questions.
Thanks,
