Week of 12/14-12/18

Next week we will wrap up our fiction unit with lessons on how to respond to our reading, understanding point of view, and how to read a play.

Students will take the fiction unit assessment on Friday.

Next week students will work on their final story of our narrative unit. Students will decide if they would like to write a personal narrative story or a fairy tale. This is the piece that I will grade using the same narrative rubric that was used first quarter. I am very proud of the growth I've seen in the students' writing skills and I look forward to seeing what they produce next week.

Next week students will review the distributive property and use it to find the area of a rectangle. Students will then work on a choice board to review and apply the math concepts learned throughout the unit.
