Building & Site Sinking Fund Information
Otsego Public Schools is fortunate to have wonderful facilities that represent a great source of pride in the Otsego community; our facilities are used by groups across the region. Much of that is due to the voters' generosity passing a bond in 2004. Otsego was able to build a new, state-of-the-art high school, new athletic facilities and make significant upgrades to our other school buildings. It is important to us to maintain the pristine condition of those facilities, maintain that pride and continue to be a resource for organizations, fine arts groups and athletic associations. There are needed upgrades and repairs that did not fall into the 2004 bond projects that the district would like to address sooner, rather than later, so we can keep expenses down.
The repairs fall into three categories:
- Safety & Security
- Energy Efficiencies & Upgrades
- Site Improvements/Maintenance
We are looking at a Building and Site Sinking Fund to provide the financial resources we need without taking away funds from the classroom. Below, you will find several pieces of information related to this proposal.
Thank you to parents Becky Gross & Jason Jacobs for cooking breakfast for our Young Men Keeping it Real group!

ATTENTION 8TH GRADE PARENTS, GUARDIANS, GRANDPARENTS, AND GROUPIES!
We need YOU to help us with the 8th grade field trip to the Allegan County Area Technical Education Center (ACATEC)! If you would like to join us and experience first-hand the over two dozen different career development programs and opportunities at ACATEC, consider chaperoning with us! No group will be larger than 15 students, and all groups are assigned an ACATEC docent guide that leads each tour. We will gather at 8:15, be at ACATEC by 9:00, tour until 10:30, and you will be back at school and on your way by 11:00 (keep in mind both days are 1/2 days for students). Join us for this educational experience that is great information for both students AND parents! Contact our school counselor, Keith Fuller, at 692-6199 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
